Privacy Policy

Linksmith is run by Palapa Holdings, LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you visit linksmith.ai or buy an audit, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

  • Checkout details. When you buy an audit, Stripe collects your name, email, payment details and the site URL you want audited. We receive all of it except your full card number.
  • Your site’s public pages. To run the audit, we visit the public pages of the site you submit and check the affiliate links on them, the same way a reader would. We never need a login.
  • Emails you send us. If you write to us, we keep your message and address so we can reply.
  • Site usage. When you browse linksmith.ai, our analytics tools record the pages you view, the buttons you click, how far you scroll, your browser and device type, your approximate location (based on your IP address) and the page that sent you here. Some visits are recorded as session replays, which show clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. Anything you type is masked.
  • Referral codes. Some links we share include a short code, such as ?r=k1-a7f3. It tells us which campaign or message the link came from, and it may identify the person we sent it to. We store the code with your visit and pass it to Stripe if you buy.
  • Public business contact details. We look up contact details that site owners publish, such as an email address listed on their website, so we can tell them about link problems we noticed on their site.

2. How we use it

  • To run your audit and email you the results.
  • To process payments, refunds and receipts.
  • To answer your questions.
  • To see which pages and channels work, and to improve the site.
  • To tell site owners about link problems on their sites. Anyone can ask us to stop, and we will.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with the providers that help us run Linksmith, and only what each one needs:

  • Stripe, for payments. Stripe’s own privacy policy covers your payment details.
  • Google, for Google Analytics, for email, and for the Google Sheet your audit is delivered in.
  • PostHog, for site analytics and session replays.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts this site and handles traffic to it.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety. If Linksmith is ever sold or merged, your information may pass to the new owner, who must keep honoring this policy.

4. Your audit results

Your Google Sheet is shared only with the email address you gave at checkout. We don’t show your results to anyone else.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Google Analytics and PostHog set cookies and use browser storage on linksmith.ai. They help us count visits, tell new visitors from returning ones, and remember referral codes. We don’t use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works without them. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics:tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

6. How long we keep it

  • Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting rules require, usually up to 7 years.
  • Audit files and your site URL: 12 months after delivery, then deleted.
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months.
  • Emails: as long as we need them to help you.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • send you a copy
  • stop contacting you

Email hello@linksmith.ai and we’ll respond within 30 days. Asking will never affect how we treat you. Depending on where you live, such as California, the EU or the UK, local law may give you more rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

8. Security

All traffic to linksmith.ai is encrypted with HTTPS. Stripe handles payments, so card numbers never reach our systems. Only the people who run Linksmith can access your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

9. Visitors outside the US

Linksmith is based in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be processed in the US and wherever our providers operate.

10. Children

Linksmith is a service for website owners and isn’t meant for children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their information.

11. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we’ll email affected customers before it takes effect.
